Creating the Catalog A-Z: Artistically Inked

Weekly Showcase

Love this Color Combination

I hope you enjoy the cards I showcase this week with the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and the coordinating Artistic Dies. Today’s card is one of my favorites, using the 2022-2024 In Colors. I love how Orchid Oasis & Starry Sky blend well, making the white stand out in the card.

The exposed brick brings the card to another level with the texture. As a cardmaker of over 17 years, I usually have layers 1/4 inch from the other. But I am finding the last year, I like to make layers 1/8 inch from the other. For this card, I discovered that a 3/8 inch made for a more dramatic look and gave the exposed brick a more dramatic look with its size. Then, I added the Iridescent Pearls to give the card a bit of bling.

For stamped images that require a die-cut to get the image to line up within the die, I use Post-it labeling & cover-up tape I purchase on Amazon.

My favorite part of sharing my cards with you is so that you can recreate them yourself! I love to give you the list of products I used to create all my cards. I use a few products every time I make a card that I don’t add to the list. These items are already items a crafter commonly uses or has on hand, so I feel that adding them to my list of supplies is optional. I do want to share with you the Paper Trimmer. What I love the most about Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer is that you can score & cut using the same tool inside of having a paper trimmer & then a scoring tool. Every card created by me uses the Paper Trimmer. In the following blogs, I will share the other tools I use while making my cards.
